Ontic Adds New Florida Facility to Support Growth

Ontic Expands Florida Operations With New Weston Site

Ontic is continuing its global growth strategy with plans to establish a major new manufacturing facility in South Florida, reinforcing its position as a leading provider of aerospace components and aftermarket support solutions.

The aerospace specialist has signed a long-term lease agreement for a 100,000-square-foot facility in Weston, Florida, marking the company’s tenth operational site worldwide. The expansion represents another significant investment in Ontic’s manufacturing capabilities as demand for aerospace parts, licensed products, and long-term aftermarket support continues to rise across the aviation sector.

The new facility will be located less than 20 miles from Ontic’s existing site in Miramar, Florida, creating a complementary operational footprint designed to improve efficiency and support future growth. While the Miramar location, which began operations in 2025, will remain dedicated to maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities, the Weston facility will focus primarily on original equipment (OE) manufacturing.

This strategic separation of manufacturing and aftermarket operations is expected to enhance productivity while providing additional capacity for the company’s expanding portfolio of aerospace products.

Supporting a Growing Aerospace Portfolio

The aerospace industry continues to face increasing demand for reliable component support, particularly as airlines, military operators, and aircraft manufacturers seek long-term solutions for aging fleets and critical systems. Ontic has built its business model around acquiring intellectual property, manufacturing rights, and product licenses for established aerospace components, ensuring their continued availability long after original manufacturers have shifted focus.

As the company secures additional licenses and expands its product portfolio, the need for larger manufacturing facilities has become increasingly important. The Weston site is expected to play a central role in supporting this growth by providing dedicated production space for current and future programs.

The investment comes at a time when aerospace supply chains remain under pressure from rising production rates, labor shortages, and increased demand for aircraft parts. By adding substantial manufacturing capacity, Ontic aims to strengthen its ability to meet customer requirements while maintaining high standards of quality and reliability.

Industry analysts note that aerospace suppliers capable of increasing production capacity while maintaining operational flexibility are likely to benefit from continued growth in commercial aviation, defense programs, and business aviation markets.

Complementing Miramar Operations

The proximity of the Weston facility to Ontic’s Miramar site creates opportunities for operational collaboration while allowing each location to focus on its core mission.

The Miramar facility was established to support maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities, serving customers that require ongoing support for critical aerospace systems and components. By dedicating Weston to manufacturing operations, Ontic can streamline workflows, improve resource allocation, and enhance overall efficiency across both locations.

This dual-site strategy reflects a broader trend within the aerospace sector, where companies increasingly separate production and aftermarket services to maximize specialization and improve customer responsiveness.

The arrangement also provides flexibility for future expansion, enabling Ontic to scale production capabilities as new programs are added to its portfolio while preserving dedicated capacity for repair and overhaul services.

Continued Investment in Global Infrastructure

The Florida expansion is part of a wider investment program aimed at strengthening Ontic’s global operational network.

Earlier this year, the company announced progress on a new maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility in Tewkesbury, United Kingdom. The site is expected to become fully operational by September 2026 and will further enhance Ontic’s ability to support customers across Europe and other international markets.

Together, the Weston and Tewkesbury projects demonstrate the company’s commitment to building a stronger global infrastructure capable of supporting long-term growth. The investments are designed to improve manufacturing capacity, increase service capabilities, and provide greater resilience across the company’s worldwide operations.

As airlines continue extending the service lives of existing aircraft and military operators seek reliable support for legacy platforms, demand for specialized aerospace component providers remains strong. Companies with robust manufacturing and repair capabilities are increasingly viewed as critical partners in maintaining fleet readiness and operational reliability.

Preparing for Future Growth

According to Ontic leadership, the new Weston facility will provide the additional capacity required to support future business expansion while ensuring customers continue receiving the dependable service they expect.

Chief Operating Officer Brian Sartain emphasized that the investment is focused on long-term growth and operational excellence. The facility will allow Ontic to accommodate an expanding range of product lines while maintaining the availability and reliability that have become central to the company’s reputation within the aerospace aftermarket sector.

Before manufacturing operations commence, the site will undergo extensive upgrades and modernization work to ensure it meets the company’s production requirements and quality standards. These improvements are expected to include infrastructure enhancements, manufacturing equipment installation, and facility customization tailored to aerospace production activities.

Operations at the new Weston location are scheduled to begin in 2027.

Strengthening Ontic’s Position in Aerospace Manufacturing

The aerospace industry is entering a period of sustained growth, driven by increasing passenger traffic, fleet modernization efforts, and rising demand for defense capabilities. These trends are creating new opportunities for suppliers that can deliver dependable manufacturing support and long-term product availability.

Ontic’s latest investment highlights its confidence in the future of the aerospace market and its commitment to expanding capacity ahead of growing customer demand. By adding a dedicated manufacturing facility in Florida while continuing to invest in global MRO infrastructure, the company is positioning itself to support operators and manufacturers across a wide range of aviation sectors.

As the Weston project moves toward completion, the facility is expected to become a key component of Ontic’s global network, helping the company deliver greater production capacity, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced support for customers around the world.

With aerospace supply chains under increasing pressure and fleet operators prioritizing reliability, investments such as the Weston facility underscore the growing importance of specialized aerospace manufacturers in keeping aircraft flying safely and efficiently for years to come.
