Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA) is reinforcing its commitment to the domestic aviation market by placing an order for eight additional Embraer E190-E2 regional jets, strengthening its long-term fleet modernization strategy. The latest purchase will support the airline’s efforts to meet future domestic travel demand while improving operational efficiency through a deeper partnership with regional carrier IBEX Airlines.
The decision, approved by the board of ANA Holdings on July 29, represents another significant investment in next-generation regional aircraft. The airline had already committed to acquiring up to 20 Embraer E190-E2s during 2025, and the new order demonstrates continued confidence in the aircraft’s role within Japan’s evolving aviation landscape.
ANA Continues Investment in the Embraer E190-E2
The newly approved order is valued at approximately ¥105 billion (US$642 million) and will be fulfilled over several years. Deliveries are scheduled to begin during Japan’s fiscal year 2029, which starts on April 1, 2029, with all eight aircraft expected to enter service by 2032.
